Some standard content:
GB17355-1998
This standard refers to the following standards: GB/T5382.1--1996 "Braking performance test method for motorcycles and mopeds - braking distance",
GB/T5382.2--1996 "Braking performance test method for motorcycles and mopeds - braking force". In the process of preparation, it also referred to national standards such as GB7258-1997 "Technical conditions for motor vehicle operation safety" and foreign standards on braking. It collected test data on braking distance and braking force from previous years' inspections, finalization tests, and standard verification tests, and formulated it through mathematical statistics. This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Automobile Standardization. This standard was drafted by the Shanghai Motorcycle Research Institute. Drafters of this standard: Shen Jianping, Huang Lan, and Fan Xiong. 485

3.1 The braking distance of the test vehicle shall be measured according to the method of GB/T5382.1. The braking distance of the motorcycle shall be measured at a specified initial speed of 30km/h ± 2km/h, and the braking distance of the moped shall be measured at a specified initial speed of 20km/h ± 2km/h, and the measured data shall be corrected according to the actual vehicle speed.
3.2 The braking force of the test vehicle shall be measured on the braking force test bench, and the test method shall be in accordance with the provisions of GB/T5382.2. 4 Braking performance index limits
