Summary:
This standard specifies the required sanitary protection distance between carbon plants and residential areas. This standard applies to new carbon plants located in plains and hilly areas, as well as the expansion and reconstruction of existing carbon plants. Existing carbon plants can refer to this standard for implementation. The sanitary protection distance of carbon plants located in complex terrain conditions should be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection authorities of the municipality or autonomous region where the construction project is located, based on the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report. Some standard content:
GB18073—2000
All technical contents of this standard are mandatory. The current standard for sanitary protection distances for industrial enterprises is a comprehensive standard involving construction planning, general layout of industrial construction, environmental sanitation and sanitary engineering. Its purpose is to ensure that the pollutants generated by key national industrial enterprises after they are put into production will not affect the health of people in residential areas. This standard aims at the characteristics of various harmful factors, finds out the occurrence, diffusion, dilution, attenuation and degradation characteristics of harmful factors, and then determines the allowable emission intensity of industrial enterprises based on the best practical technical principles, that is, according to the treatment measures and maintenance management measures that can be achieved at the current economic level of my country, and finally selects the appropriate gas diffusion model and corresponding parameters to determine the required sanitary protection distance. This standard will be implemented from January 1, 2001.
This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The responsible drafting units of this standard: Yichang Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, Hubei Province, Institute of Environmental Sanitation and Sanitary Engineering, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine
The main drafters of this standard: Cao Yuxin and Shao Qiang. This standard was issued by the Ministry of Health and entrusted to the Institute of Environmental Health Monitoring of the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 238

Health protection zone standard for charcoal electrode plant
Health protection zone standard for charcoal electrode plant1Scope
This standard specifies the required health protection distance between charcoal electrode plants and charcoal electrode residential areas. GB18073—2000
This standard applies to new charcoal electrode plants located in plain and low-lying areas and the expansion and reconstruction projects of existing charcoal electrode plants. Existing charcoal electrode plants may refer to it for implementation. The health protection distance of charcoal electrode plants located in complex terrain conditions shall be determined jointly by the competent department of the construction unit and the health and environmental protection departments of the province, municipality or autonomous region where the construction project is located based on the atmospheric environment quality assessment report. 2Definition
This standard adopts the following definitions.
2.1 Health protection distance health protection zane The minimum distance from the boundary of the department (workshop or section) producing harmful factors to the boundary of the residential area, 3 Standard content
3.1 Carbon "health protection distance", according to the average wind speed and production scale of the area in the past five years, as shown in Table 1. Table 1
Annual production of graphite electrodes, t
: 10 to bZxz.net
Semi-average wind speed in the area, m/s
3.2 The distance specified in this standard should also take into account the influence of factors such as wind direction and terrain of the factory and the residential area, so as to minimize its pollution to the atmospheric environment of the residential area
Approved by the State Administration of Quality and Technical Supervision on April 10, 2000 and implemented on January 1, 2001
