This standard adopts ISO4156 "Cylindrical spur involute splines-Metric module-Flank fits-General, dimensions and inspection" Part 3 "Inspection".
Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the dimensions and technical requirements of measuring rods for measuring the tooth width and tooth thickness of cylindrical spur involute splines. This standard is used to measure measuring rods for cylindrical spur involute splines with a module of 0.25 to 10 mm, a number of teeth of 10 to 100, and a standard pressure angle of 30°, 37.5° and 45°.

3.1 The types and dimensions of measuring rods are shown in Figure 1 and Table 1. 3.2

3.3 The tolerance of the diameter of the measuring rod shall comply with the principle of inclusion. 4 Technical requirements
4.1 The measuring surface of the measuring rod shall not have defects such as rust, black spots and scratches that obviously affect the quality and appearance of use, and the two end surfaces shall not have rust and cracks.
4.2 The measuring rod can be made of wear-resistant materials such as alloy tool steel and carbon tool steel. 493

4.3 The hardness of the measuring surface of the measuring rod should be 664~~825HV. 4.4 The measuring rod should be subjected to stability heat treatment.
5 Marking and packaging
5.1 The measuring rod should be marked with:
The registered trademark of the manufacturer;
b. The basic size of the measuring rod diameter.
When the diameter of the measuring rod is less than 16 mm, it is allowed to hang a label with the above mark. 5.2 The product box should be marked with
a. The product name, the manufacturer's name and registered trademark; b. The basic size of the measuring rod diameter.
5.3 The measuring rod should be treated with anti-rust treatment such as oiling before packaging and properly packaged. The product shall not be damaged during shipment due to poor packaging. 5.4 The product box should be accompanied by a product certificate. The product certificate should have the standard number, product serial number and production date of this standard, and the stamp of the inspection department.
