In order to be in line with international practice, all the signs and symbols of this standard are equivalent to those in Annex 1 and Annex 2 of Resolution A760 (Standards for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1998) adopted by the 18th International Maritime Organization Conference held in the United Kingdom in November 1993. The purpose of formulating this standard in accordance with the requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (S.A.S.) 1983 is to standardize and unify the life-saving safety signs and symbols used on seagoing vessels, life rafts and near their launching positions and other places, so that staff and passengers can use these facilities correctly in an emergency; and can use these signs and symbols to guide staff and passengers in time. Passengers should be brought to the assembly point or embarkation point in order to be rescued quickly and escape danger. Requirement A of this standard is the appendix of the standard.
This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China. 3.1 Command signs
Refers to signs that require the execution of operations in accordance with the prescribed signs. Including signs such as fastening safety belts, releasing lifesaving devices, spraying water and supplying air to rescue boats, etc.
3.2 Prompt signs
Refers to information signs that provide the location and direction of the day mark. Including signs such as various lifesaving devices or equipment, assembly points, embarkation stations, directional arrows, escape hatches, etc.
4 Sign patterns and requirements
4.1 Command sign patterns and requirements

4.2.2 Shape and color of signs

According to the provisions of GB132893 and GB2894, the handhold sign should be in the shape of a light rectangular frame, with the color of the edge and the background color matched with white as the contrasting color. The green color should be the light green G02 in GB3181. 4.3 Marking size
The overall size of the marking shall comply with the relevant provisions of Chapter 5 of GB7093.4. For the commonly used minimum nominal size of the marking, see Appendix A (Appendix to the standard).
4.4 Marking material
4.4.1 The marking material can be made of rust-resistant metal, non-metal or synthetic material, in principle, so as to facilitate installation and replacement on board. The surface of the material should be smooth, even, without light cracks, pits, scratches and other defects. 4.4.2 If fluorescent materials are used on the marking, the fluorescent powder should comply with the relevant provisions of GB 4073. Under the condition that the ambient brightness is less than 1×10°5cd/m2, it should be excited with 50 1x light for 10min. After 0.5h, the afterglow brightness should not be less than 1×10cd/t. 5 Application of signs
5.1 Combination of signs
Signs such as arrows indicating directions, numbers indicating numbers, letters, etc. in this standard may be used in combination with any warning sign. Letters and numbers shall be placed on the right side of the main sign. Arrows indicating directions may be placed at appropriate positions of the main sign as required, with the arrow pointing in the direction of the main sign. When forming a new sign, the middle line shall be removed. 5.2 Distribution of signs
5.2.1 Command signs specified in this standard shall be distributed according to the type and number of life-saving appliances on board. They shall be installed and distributed on or near the corresponding lifeboats and operating devices, and appropriate text descriptions shall be given under the signs. 5.2.2 Warning signs (including combined signs) should be distributed in a relay manner at the location of life equipment, passenger and crew cabins, passageways leading to lifeboats (lifeboats), assembly locations, embarkation stations, emergency exits, stairways, turns, etc., and appropriate text descriptions should be given under the signs.
5.2.3 All signs should not be installed on movable objects such as doors, windows, and shelves to avoid affecting the direction and display of safety signs after the position of these objects is moved. It should also be ensured that movable objects such as doors, windows, and shelves do not block these signs after they are moved. 228
