Preparation Instructions
Marine cylindrical observer is one of the accessories installed on the water and oil pipe system of the overflow pipe of the mechanical part of inland and coastal ships. Over the years, there have been various forms of observers designed in my country, but with the development of the shipbuilding industry, the demand for observers has increased and the requirements have become higher and higher. In order to further reform the past observers* and combine the situation that the export ships need to observe the flow everywhere in the structure, it is considered necessary to unify. Therefore, this standard is compiled. The parameters and structural dimensions of this standard conform to JISF7218-75. Changing the flat glass of the original CB422-65 two-way viewer to a cylindrical transparent tube for a simple viewer can basically meet the new requirements. The lower part of the upper body and the lower flange are connected as one by a T-shaped (rib) reinforcement material. The transparent tube is inserted from the bottom. The lower flange has an internal screw to fit into the cover. The upper flange is conical to prevent the fluid from splashing around the inner side of the cylindrical glass. This angle corresponds to 13° at the center for the maximum flow rate. The material of the cylindrical transparent tube (propylene resin according to JIS standard) is a thermoplastic resin: its main properties are shown in Table 1

In view of the above two different materials, their physical and mechanical properties are slightly different, but the main parameter indicators are consistent. However, acrylic resin and other glass tubes are currently out of stock in China: Therefore, the editors suggest using the organic glass tube produced by Shanghai Hualian Products Factory as the transparent tube on the cylindrical observer. 4
