This standard was proposed by the Ministry of Machinery Industry of the People's Republic of China and upgraded by the Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry. This standard was initiated by the Standardization Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, Shanghai Hydraulic Accessories, Changchun Automobile Research Institute, and Shanghai Hydraulic and Pneumatic Research Institute. The main drafters of this standard are Hu Lusheng, Li Ningning, and Zhang Long. From the date of implementation of this standard, the original ministry standard JB1921-77 "Flare-end straight-through pipe fittings" will be invalidated.
