This standard has revised JB/Z172—81 "Camshaft Grinder Parameters" according to the requirements of camshaft grinder users and the development of technology.
The main differences between this standard and JB/Z172—81 are: 1. The maximum workpiece length column has been increased by 315mm; 2. The types and sizes of the head and tail frame taper holes have been increased. This standard is part of the camshaft grinder series of standards. JBT2999, under the general title of "Camshaft Grinding Machine", includes the following three parts:
Part 1
(i.e. JB/T2999.1): Parameters:
Part 2 (i.e. JB/T2999.2): Accuracy inspection: Part 3 (i.e. JB/T2999.3): Technical conditions. This standard will replace JB/Z172-81 from the date of implementation. This standard is proposed by the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Metal Cutting Machine Tools. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the Grinding Machine Branch of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Metal Cutting Machine Tools. The responsible drafting unit of this standard is Changchun No. 1 Machine Tool Factory. This standard was first issued in November 1981.

This standard specifies the parameters of camshaft grinders with a maximum workpiece rotation diameter of 125~200mm and a maximum workpiece length of 315~2000mm.
