1 Main content and scope of application
This standard specifies the general temperature and relative humidity conditions for condition conditioning and testing of paints, varnishes and their raw materials. This standard applies to liquid and powder paints and varnishes, as well as to their wet or dry films and their raw materials. 2 Definition
2.1 Condition adjustment environment
The condition adjustment environment is the environment in which the specimen or specimen is maintained before being tested. It is characterized by the specified values ??of one or two parameters of temperature and relative humidity, and the parameter values ??remain within the specified range within a predetermined time. The selected parameter values ??and length of time depend on the nature of the sample or specimen to be tested.
Note: ① The term conditioning refers to the entire operation of placing specimens and specimens under specified conditions of temperature and humidity before testing, and keeping them in this environment for a predetermined time. ② The adjustment state can be carried out in the laboratory, or in a special sealed "state adjustment box" or in a test chamber. 2.2 Test environment
The test environment is the environment to which the sample or specimen is exposed during the entire test period. It is characterized by the specified values ??of one or two parameters of temperature and relative humidity, and maintaining them within a predetermined range. Note: The test is either carried out in the laboratory or in a special so-called "state conditioning box" or in a test chamber. The choice depends on the nature of the specimen or test piece and the conditions of the test itself. For example, if the performance of the specimen or specimen does not change significantly during the test, it is not necessary to strictly control the test environment. 3 Temperature and humidity for condition adjustment and testing
3.1 Standard environmental conditions (should be adopted whenever possible) temperature 23±2℃, relative humidity 50%±5%. 3.2 The standard temperature is 23±2℃, and the relative humidity is the ambient humidity. Note: For some tests, the temperature control range is more stringent. For example: when testing viscosity or consistency, the recommended control range is a maximum of ±0.5°C. 3.3 Other conditions
3.3.1 For certain areas where it is difficult to maintain the standard environmental conditions of Articles 3.1 and 3.2, and for non-arbitration purposes, other conditions may be specified, but they shall be noted in the test report.
3.3.2 For those environmental conditions where neither temperature nor relative humidity need to be controlled, if the temperature and humidity are known, they should be noted in the test report.
4 Condition adjustment
4.1 Condition adjustment time shall be specified by the specific test method considered, approved by the Ministry of Chemical Industry of the People's Republic of China on 1.988-04-19 and implemented on 1989-01-01||tt| |GB9278-88
2 The relevant parts of the specimen and the instrument should be placed in a state-adjusted environment so that they can reach equilibrium with the environment as quickly as possible. The specimens should be protected from direct sunlight and the environment should be kept clean. The test panels should be separated from each other and from the walls of the condition conditioning box by a distance of at least 20 mm. 5 Test
Unless otherwise specified, the specimen shall be tested in the same environment as its condition. If the standard environmental conditions specified in Article 3.1 are used for condition adjustment and testing, the test report shall state: The condition is adjusted for hours under the standard environmental conditions consistent with this national standard, and then the test is carried out. If the standard environment specified in Article 3.1 is not used, conditions, and other conditions are selected, the test report should indicate the conditions used. Additional notes:
This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Coatings and Pigments Standardization Technical Committee. This standard is drafted by the Coatings Industry Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry. The main drafter of this standard is Song Jianguo.
