Summary:
This standard specifies the design criteria for safety-grade DC power systems in nuclear power plants. This standard applies to the design of lead-acid batteries, static charging devices and DC power distribution equipment, including the selection of the number and type of equipment; determination of equipment ratings; interconnection; selection of instrumentation, control and protection, etc. This standard does not apply to the AC power supply of the charging device and the load powered by the DC system.
