SJI3228.2—99 General rules for analysis of high-purity quartz sand. 3 Method summary
SJ3228.4—89
The sample is treated with sulfuric acid and hydrofluoric acid to volatilize silicon dioxide in the form of silicon tetrafluoride. The amount volatilized is the content of silicon dioxide.
4 Reagents
4.1 Hydrofluoric acid: 40% high-grade pure
4.2 Sulfuric acid: 11.
5 Analysis steps
Accurately weigh 1g of the sample after ignition loss, place it in a platinum crucible with constant weight, add a few drops of water to wet the sample, then add 5 drops of 1:1 sulfuric acid and 20ml hydrofluoric acid, heat to dissolve, evaporate to dryness, and move into a muffle furnace. Ignite at 950~1000℃ for 30min, move to a desiccator to cool to room temperature and weigh, and repeat ignition until constant weight. 6 Calculation
Si0(%)=m1=m=×100
Where: m1——the amount of the sample after ignition loss. gm2The amount of the crucible and sample residue after treatment with hydrofluoric acid. gm-—the amount of the sample after ignition loss. g.
Approved by the Ministry of Machinery and Electronics Industry of the People's Republic of China on March 20, 1989, and implemented on March 25, 1989
Measurement accuracy
The relative standard deviation is less than 5%.
