Classification for soft soldering fluxesSJ8208-88
This standard is formulated with reference to the relevant contents of the draft standard of the Secretariat document "Soft soldering flux" of the Technical Committee for Soldering Standardization of the International Organization for Standardization ISO/TC44/SC12. 1 Subject content and applicable scope
This standard specifies the classification of fluxes for soldering. Reasonable classification is of great significance to the correct use of fluxes and the improvement of welding technology. The flux specified in this standard is classified according to its basic components. Each type is further distinguished by its active components and chemical properties, representing the range of chemical activity of the flux. It is suitable for soldering designers and technicians in various industries to select flux materials according to the scope of application.
2 Classification
The classification of soldering flux is shown in the table below. Each part of the table is marked with a number to describe and identify the type of flux. For example: Flux 1,1.3A is a non-halogen activated liquid rosin flux, while 3.2.1C is a phosphoric acid activated paste flux.
