This standard specifies the basic method for evaluating the quality of indoor visual environment. This standard applies to the evaluation of the visual environment of indoor workplaces where reading, writing or similar activities are the main activities. This standard replaces GB/T12454-1990 "Visual Environment Evaluation Method". Compared with GB/T12454-1990, the main changes are as follows: - Added the method for determining the evaluation items; - Added the method for determining the weight of the evaluation items; - Corrected the rating level to 5 levels; - Corrected the corresponding relationship between the visual environment index and the visual environment quality. 3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions established in JGJ/T119 and the following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1
Visual environment
The external environment depicted by the degree of reflection of the brain through the perception of space and various objects in the environment where people live through vision. 3.2
Rating of visual environment index Taking into account the impact of the current environment on people's work efficiency and visual comfort, the evaluation questionnaire is used to evaluate and count, and the index used to indicate the quality of the current environment is determined. 4 Evaluation method
4. 1 General
This standard adopts the evaluation questionnaire method to score multiple factors that affect people's work efficiency and visual comfort in the visual environment, calculate the visual environment index, and indicate the quality of the visual environment. 4.2 Evaluation items
4.2.1 The evaluation items should be determined by the expert group with reference to Appendix A and voted according to the actual situation of the workplace. The cumulative rate of the final selected items should not be less than 50% (see Appendix B Table B.1) 4.2.2 The expert group should be composed of professionals in the design and research of architectural interior visual environment, and the members should not be less than 5 people. 4.2.3 The content and number of evaluation items should be selected according to the functional requirements of the workplace and the evaluation time. 4.3 Rating levels
This standard sets five rating levels for the degree of deviation of the evaluation items from the satisfactory state: excellent, good, fair, poor, and bad. 4.4 Values ​​of evaluation items
4.4.1 The weight of the evaluation item represents the degree of influence of the item on the visual environment quality. Its value should be determined by the expert group formed according to the requirements of 4.2.2 (the method for determining the item weight is shown in Appendix B.2). 4.4.2 The weight of the same evaluation item in different places can be different. 4.5 Evaluation questionnaire
Evaluation questionnaire and various factors affecting people's work efficiency and comfort in the visual environment. The evaluator determines the satisfaction degree of each factor based on on-site observation and judgment (see Table C.1). 1

4.6 Rating system
Based on the questionnaire results and the weight of each evaluation item, the score of each evaluation item and the visual environment index are calculated (see Appendix C). 4.7 Evaluation results
The evaluation results include the individual scores of each evaluation item and the visual environment index. The smaller the scores and the visual environment index, the greater the problems in the visual environment and the worse the visual environment quality. The corresponding relationship between the visual environment index and the quality grade is shown in Table 1.
