This standard specifies the climate protection types and environmental conditions of use, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and other requirements of machinery products (hereinafter referred to as products) used in plateau areas above 1000m above sea level. The major categories of products include agricultural machinery and lifting and transportation machinery, general machinery, engineering machinery, electrical products, instruments and meters, internal combustion engines, boilers, machine tools and general parts.
This standard does not apply to products used in special environmental conditions such as chemical corrosive media, explosive dangerous media and mines in plateau areas. 2 Reference standards

GB/T14092.3 Environmental conditions for mechanical products High altitude GB/T14093.1 Environmental technical requirements for mechanical products For hot environments GB/T14093.2 Environmental technical requirements for mechanical products For cold environments 3 Product protection types and their environmental conditions 3.1 my country's plateau area is vast, with large altitude differences, and low air pressure has different effects on products, so the plateau area is divided into 5 levels according to the altitude: 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000m. 3.2 The protection type of the product refers to the corresponding protective measures taken when the product is used in certain areas of the plateau, so as to ensure the adaptability of the product in the typical environment and the product type designed and manufactured. The product protection type can be divided into 4 types according to the altitude. The models are: product protection type for areas with an altitude of 1000m or less, according to the basic product protection type, the model of plateau product protection type suitable for areas with an altitude of 2000m or less is: G1; the model of plateau product protection type suitable for areas with an altitude of 3000m or less is: G2; the model of plateau product protection type suitable for areas with an altitude of 4000m or less is: G3; the model of plateau product protection type suitable for areas with an altitude of 5000m or less is: G4. 3.3 The environmental conditions for the use of the product shall be in accordance with GB4798.3, GH4798.4, GH/T14092.3, and these standards should be referred to when using. The severity levels of the selected conditions are listed in 3.4 and 3.5. The types of environmental conditions include: plateau climate conditions (Kp), special climate conditions (Zh - thermal radiation, Za - ambient air movement, Zw - other water sources except for water), biological conditions (B), chemically active substance conditions (C), mechanically active substance conditions (S) and mechanical conditions.
