Summary:
This standard specifies the guidelines that manufacturers and users should follow when using programmable controllers and their peripherals. This standard applies to programmable controllers and related peripherals, such as programming and debugging tools (PADTS), test equipment (TE) and man-machine interface (MMI). This standard applies to devices used to control machinery and industrial processes in low-voltage facilities in overvoltage category 2 with a rated grid voltage not exceeding 1000V (50/60Hz) AC or 1500V DC. Programmable controllers and their related peripherals can be regarded as components of the control system and can be provided in the form of closed devices or open devices. Therefore, this guide only involves the interface of the automatic control system, not the automatic control system itself.
