ICS73.040
National Standard of the People's Republic of China
GB/T5447—1997
Determination of caking indexof bituminous coal
Issued on April 17, 1997
State Bureau of Technical Supervision
Implementation on October 1, 1997
GB/T5447-1997
This standard adopts ISO335—1974 "Determination of caking index of bituminous coal-Roca test method" in a non-equivalent manner. This standard has the same operating principle and instruments as ISO335, but is different in terms of test steps, result calculation, and technical conditions for special anthracite required for determination. Compared with GB/T5447-85, this standard is modified as follows: 1. Delete Appendix A and Appendix B in GB/T5447-85, and include the appendix in the standard appendix of GB14181 "Technical conditions for special anthracite for determination of bituminous coal caking index". The text related to the appendix in the original standard is modified and changed accordingly. 2. Reclassify the instruments and tools used. The expression of the allowable error of the measured value is changed to a table form. From the date of implementation, this standard replaces GB/T5447-85 "Method for determination of bituminous coal caking index". This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Coal Industry of the People's Republic of China. This standard is under the jurisdiction of the National Coal Standardization Technical Committee. Drafting units of this standard: Beijing Coal Chemistry Research Institute, Chongqing Branch and Xi'an Branch of China Coal Research Institute jointly drafted: Beijing Coal Chemistry Research Institute is responsible for revision, and the first revision date is 1996. This standard is entrusted to Beijing Coal Chemistry Research Institute of China Coal Research Institute for interpretation. The main drafter of this standard is Chen Peng.

2 Referenced Standards
The signatures contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of the standard through reference in this standard. When this standard is published, the versions shown are valid. All standards will be revised, and the parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. GB474—1996 Preparation method of coal sample
GB14181 —1997 Technical conditions for determination of the caking index of bituminous coal Special anthracite 3 Key points of the method
A test coal sample of a certain mass and special anthracite are mixed under specified conditions and rapidly heated into coke. The resulting coke is tested for strength in a drum of a certain specification and the caking index is calculated using a specified formula to indicate the caking capacity of the test coal sample. 4 Special anthracite
Determination of the caking index Special anthracite (referred to as special anthracite) meets the requirements of GB14181. 5 Instruments and equipment
5.1 This method requires the following instruments and equipment:
5.1. 1 Analytical balance, sensitivity 1mg.
5.1.2 Muffle furnace, with uniform heating zone, constant temperature zone (850±10)℃, length not less than 120mm, and equipped with voltage regulator or constant temperature controller.
5.1.3 Drum test equipment: including two rotary effects, a transmission and an electric motor, the drum speed must be guaranteed to be (50±2)r/mi. The inner diameter of the drum is 200mm, the depth is 70mm, and there are two baffles riveted on the wall with a distance of 180° and a thickness of 3mm (Figure 1). Approved by the State Administration of Technical Supervision on April 17, 1997 and implemented on October 1, 1997

5.2.10 Flat shovel or clamp with handle: used to take the sample crucible rack in and out of the muffle furnace. The handle is 600mm~700m long, and the flat shovel has an overall size (length×width×thickness) of approximately 200mm×20mm×1.5mm6 Coal sample
6.1 The test coal sample is prepared into an air-dried coal sample with a particle size of less than 0.2mm according to GB474, of which 0.1mm~0.2mm coal particles account for 20%~35% of the total coal sample. The coal sample should be crushed and mixed evenly before testing. 6.2 The test coal sample should be placed in a sealed container, and the time from sample preparation to test should not exceed one week. If it exceeds one week, the sample preparation and test time should be noted in the report.
7 Test steps
7.1 First weigh 5g of special anthracite, then weigh 1g of test coal sample and put it into the crucible (5.2.1). The mass should be weighed to 0.001g. 7.2 Use the stirring wire (5.2.2) to stir the mixture in the crucible for 2min. The stirring method is: tilt it at about 45°, rotate it in the counterclockwise direction, about 15 times per minute, and rotate the stirring wire clockwise at the same inclination angle, about 150 times per minute. When stirring, the circular ring of the stirring wire contacts the arc part connecting the crucible wall and the bottom. After about 1min45, continue stirring while gradually turning the crucible and the stirring wire to a vertical position. After about 2min, the stirring is finished. A mechanical device that can achieve the same stirring effect can also be used for stirring. During stirring, the coal sample should be prevented from splashing
7.3 After stirring, use a brush (5.2.9) to gently sweep the coal powder on the crucible, use a stirring wire to carefully level the mixture, and make the layer along the crucible wall slightly lower by 1mm~2mm, so that after the pressure block (5.2.3) presses the mixture tightly, the surface of the coal sample is in the same plane. 7.4 Use tweezers (5.2.8) to clamp the pressure block (5.2.3) in the center of the volute, then place it under the pressure device (5.1.4), gently lower the pressure rod, and press statically for 30 seconds.
7.5 After the pressure is completed, the pressure block is still on the mixture and the crucible cover is added. Note that from the beginning of stirring, the crucible with the mixture should be handled with care to avoid impact and vibration.
7.6 Place the covered crucible in the worm rack (5.2.5), lift the crucible rack with a flat shovel or clamp with a handle (5.2.10), and place it in the temperature zone of the muffle furnace (5.1.2) preheated to 850℃. The furnace temperature should be restored to 850℃ within 6 minutes, and the furnace temperature should be maintained at (850±10)℃ thereafter. Start timing from the time the crucible is placed in the muffle furnace, and coke for 15 minutes. After that, take the crucible out of the muffle furnace and let it cool to ambient temperature. If the drum test is not carried out immediately, place the crucible in the dryer (5.2.7). The muffle furnace temperature measurement point should be in the center of the two rows of crucibles. The furnace temperature should be calibrated regularly
. 7.7 Remove the briquettes from the cooled crucible. If there is coke dust attached to the briquettes, it should be brushed into the crucible. Weigh the total mass of the coke residue, then put it into the drum for the first drum test (5.1.3). Sieve the coke blocks after the drum test with a 1mm round hole sieve (5.2.4), weigh the mass of the material on the sieve, and then put it into the drum for the second drum test. Repeat the screening and weighing operations. Each drum test lasts for 5 minutes, i.e. 250 revolutions. The mass is weighed accurately to 0.01g.
8 Results
The adhesion index (G) is calculated according to formula (1):
Formula: mi-
30m+70mz
After the first drum test, the mass of the sieve material is g; after the second drum test, the mass of the sieve material is g, and the total mass of the coke slag after coking treatment is g.
The calculation result is rounded to the first decimal point. 9 Supplementary test
When the measured G is less than 18, the test needs to be repeated. At this time, the ratio of the test coal sample and the special anthracite is changed to 3:3. That is, 38 test coal samples and 3g special anthracite. The rest of the test steps are the same as in Chapter 7, and the results are calculated according to formula (2): 30mt, + 70mg
The meanings of the symbols in the formula are the same as in (1).
10 Precision and result reporting
The precision of the adhesion index determination results is shown in Table 1. Table 1 Repeatability and reproducibility of adhesion index determination Adhesion index (G value)
Repeatability (G value)
The arithmetic mean of the repeated test results is taken as the final result. The results are reported in integers. Reproducibility (C value)
