This standard is formulated for the first time based on experimental research, labor hygiene and epidemiological survey data, and with reference to relevant foreign occupational exposure limits. It is a hygienic standard used for workplace environmental monitoring and health supervision. This standard will be implemented from May 1, 2002. This standard is proposed by the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China. The drafting units of this standard are: School of Public Health, Harbin Medical University, Heilongjiang Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases. The main drafters of this standard are: Cang Enzhi, Ning Binlian, Zhang Zhongyi, Liu Xicheng, and Liu Shuchun. This standard is entrusted to the Institute of Labor Hygiene and Occupational Diseases, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine for interpretation. 667

This standard specifies the maximum permissible concentration and time-weighted average permissible concentration of zeolite (non-fibrous) dust containing less than 10% free silica in workplace air.
This standard is applicable to various workplaces where zeolite is mined, processed and used. 2 Referenced Standards
The provisions contained in the following standards constitute the provisions of this standard through reference in this standard. When this standard was published, the versions shown were valid. All standards are subject to revision, and parties using this standard should explore the possibility of using the latest versions of the following standards. The maximum allowable concentration of free dihydrogen silica zeolite (non-fibrous) dust in workshop air containing less than 10% is 10mg/m3, and the time-weighted average allowable increase is 5mg/m3.
4 Supervision and inspection method
The determination of zeolite dust concentration and free silicon dioxide content in workshop air shall be carried out in accordance with GB/T5748. Approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China on December 4, 2001668
