It is applicable to information exchange between any information processing systems.1 Language proficiency refers to the degree of a person's mastery of languages other than the main language of his or her country and the main language he or she uses.2 Language proficiency is represented by a one-digit code. Language proficiency is divided into four levels. The meaning of each level and the corresponding relationship between the codes are shown in the table below.
